UT Volunteer Fair
The UT Volunteer Fair provides students the opportunity to gather information from a variety of non-profits interested in working with the UT community. Fairs are held twice a year at the start of each semester, with over 70 local groups looking for volunteers, interns, and employees! Interested agencies can sign up online beginning in August and January.
2012-13 UT Volunteer Fair Dates:
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 – Speedway Mall, 9:45am-2:45pm
Wednesday, February 6, 2012 – Location TBD
UT’s Largest Day of Service – this event brings over 2000 UT students, faculty, and staff together with an Austin neighborhood on the last Saturday in February. Partnering to complete beautification projects identified by neighborhood residents and community organizations, The Project aims to help neighborhoods in need while creating relationships between UT students and the Austin community.
The Tower Awards
The Tower Awards are presented annually to honor excellence in volunteerism among the students, faculty, and staff at The University of Texas at Austin. Awards are presented at a ceremony, which recognizes students, faculty, and staff of the university, as well as community agencies and university-community partnership efforts. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
Longhorn Service Council a council of service organizations on campus who work together to share resources, support each others causes, and promote service and volunteerism throughout the UT community.
UT Service Scholars a leadership and scholarship-focused program that provides professional development, leadership training, and networking opportunities for students committed to public service.
